As Senior Attorney, you will actively handle all aspects of a client’s case, including PNC consults, communicating with parties, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, preparing for, and attending hearings, mediations, and trials. Our ideal candidate must be able to handle a case from intake to completion.
The Managing Attorney position will require you to be able to effectively manage your own case load while managing and mentoring the other attorneys in the firm
Daily duties and responsibilities
- Establish positive and collaborative working relationships with clients, colleagues, and the courts.
- Effectively apply legal solutions to clients’ issues.
- Research case law, draft correspondence, and draft/file pleadings
- Effectively represent clients at hearings, depositions, and trials.
- Consult with and retain new clients.
- Work with support staff to accurately calendar all hearings, filing deadlines and other key dates.
- Take ownership of assignments an execute them timely.
- Aptitude to manage other attorneys.
Candidates must successfully pass a background check and aptitude and fit testing.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- License to practice law in Washington state.
- Candidates must be a current, active member of the Washington State Bar Association in good standing.
- Must successfully pass a background check and aptitude and fit testing.
- Minimum ten (10) years experience.
- Excellent and clear written and verbal communication skills
- Strong research skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with Family Soft/Support Calc, Adobe Acrobat and MS Office, including Excel.
- Experience in court, including motions on the Family Law Motions Calendar and before assigned Judges.
- Manage attorneys in the firm.
Job Type and Compensation
- This position is full-tIme.
- The salary range is: $150,000.00 – $250,000.00 per year.
